Description and solution:

Established in 1954, TAROM is a national company, under the authority of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. It is the main air operator in Romania and carried in the first 7 months of 2010 more than 1.1 million of passengers. The website tarom.ro is a main gate of interaction between the customers and the company.

To ensure the web solution availability a cluster of physical servers that doubles its functionalities (web, web accelerator, databases, etc) was implemented. The type of the solution developed by Distinct is Active/Active cluster (there is no unused capacity).

In 2008 the solution was relocated to Distinct Datacenter and streamlined through full virtualization. A significant attention was paid to the IT security through individual component isolation.

More than 130 warning and pre-warning sensors were configured. The infrastructure support and monitoring are ensured 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
